I have a passion (an obsession some may say) for photography. I have had the unique opportunity to turn my hobby into a professional career. Although I have a studio, I much prefer to make the beauty of the outdoors or the comfort of your home my backdrop. All my equipment is portable, making it easy to create great lighting anywhere. It makes your images interesting and unique. No photo shoot is ever the same. For me, photography is so much more than taking pictures, it is capturing a moment, a mood, a memory and allowing it to be perfectly preserved forever.
About Me:
I love traveling. New food, new friends, new customs, new languages, and new experiences excite me more than anything in the world. I'm an avid salsa dancer, foodie, and Christian. To much is given, much is expected, and I'm always trying to give more. I love to work with non-profits and offer fundraising opportunities through my business to help out where I can.
I tied the knot recently in Santorini, Greece and am so excited to start my new life with my husband: my best friend and the love of my life.
I have loved film photography since high school where I was the photo editor for the school paper. In my college years, I took a hiatus from shooting and moved to the other side of the camera. I modeled for many companies and photographers and learned how to position the body to show the best angle and how photographers talk to models. Some were great and some were terrible. I hope to take the best from each of my mentors to make you feel at ease and comfortable to dance and play as if no one was watching.
In 2007, I rediscovered my passion this time with digital photography and with a contemporary twist. I started shooting again while traveling in southeast Asia and I now love to photograph people. Everyone is interesting and photogenic. It is my job to bring out that unique look and feel to each photograph to put you at your best. Out of every shoot I have done, I have found at least one image that is worthy of my own portfolio.

If you like to have fun (and are a little non-traditional), I put an edgy twist on bridal sessions. Recently I also started shooting modern senior portraits with new challenges to bring out the personality of a blossoming high school student for yearbook pictures.
My Philosophy:
While I love to shoot outdoors on location I also have a studio for more traditional portraits. The most important aspect of my photography is that I offer creative portraiture that represents you. I love building creative lighting for interesting conceptual shots and portraits, but am equally comfortable shooting in natural light as well.
My Past Career:
I worked for Hewlett Packard for 5 years in the Retail Publishing Organization. As a Mechanical and Systems Interaction Engineer, I helped design and improve Hewlett Packard's first line of retail photo printers and have a patent under my belt. Currently Walmart carries the HP mini-labs in their Photo Center so you can play with them too! With unlimited access to amazing printers, I had to get back into photography to take advantage of that opportunity!
