A Fun first Trip to the ABQ BioPark Zoo - Albuquerque Photographer

This month I have a friend staying with me and we were trying to find something fun to do on Saturday.  Although I visit the Botanical Gardens at the Albuquerque BioPark all the time, I have never been to the Albuquerque BioPark Zoo.  My friend is a photographer from San Diego as well, so we weren't expecting much from the Albuquerque zoo compared to the San Diego Zoo, but we were pleasantly surprised.  They had a great reptile display and I loved the Tropical America exhibit with the monkeys.  It was nice to take a break and do a little nature photography just for fun.

One of the families that was next to us had a little girl with a Lady and the Tramp stuffed animal.  The little monkeys were so infatuated with Lady.  They followed the stroller around, so the family held it up to the cage.  The little monkeys reached out to feel it but they weren't exactly sure what to think.

  1. Love the shot of the monkey and the stuffed toy! Too cute! Animals love new play things. :D The shots of the snakes are really neat.

I love your terms "Big Bumps and Wee Ones" on the pages. :D It is very fun and creative!
